The Magic of Light
The Magic of Light
Exhibition dates: March 1st - March 27th, 2013
Coming up in March my piece Untitled (shed) will be included in The Magic of Light at the PhotoPlace Gallery. I am quite thankful for juror Aline Smithson to give me this opportunity to show my work in a far off place. With my senior exhibition approaching, it is a great exercise to begin doing these professional things, like packaging, printing, framing, and contacting the gallery.
There is an accompanying book/catalog to the exhibition, so if you cannot check out the show you should look here. It is going to make a nice addition to my coffee table.

My first post on LENSCRATCH
Back in October I became an intern/editorial assistant for
LENSCRATCH blogzine. Today my
first official post went up. I
interviewed an emerging photographer, Sarah Moore, who I have personally
admired from afar for quite some time.
She is a great person, really easy to talk to, and some of the things we
got into gave me so much more insight into her work. Thank you Sarah and Aline Smithson for such a great
opportunity. Check it....HERE

Website
I just launched my website last week! It is still being tweaked around, but its getting there.
Check it -- grantgill.com
Also, I am happy to announce that I just was excepted to my first juried art show. Altered State? 2 is put on by the Poconos Art Council and is located in Pennsylvania. Branching outside of Wisconsin to show work might be the most exciting part. I will keep posted on whether or not anything more comes of it.
